Our Process Makes the Difference
Container Bulk Logistics is dedicated to ensure your load is delivered in the most efficient, secured way possible. This means reviewing all appointed carriers and 3PL providers to find the best equipment, driver, route and resources to meet your specific needs. At Container Bulk Logistics, we implement a four-step process to make sure every shipment is as efficient as possible and the end destination is met with no issues.
Qualifying Carriers
Container Bulk Logistics has a rigorous process to select carriers. In order to meet our standard of excellence, all carriers must meet the following criteria:
- Been in business for at least 1 year with clean record of practice
- Updated equipment that is 5 years old or less
- Carry a minimum of $100,000 in cargo insurance
- Carry a minimum of $1,000,000 in auto liability insurance
- Continuously receive at least “Satisfactory” safety rating from the FMCSA
- Have central dispatch with 24-hour availability
- Provide Container Bulk Logistics with direct contact to drivers via mobile phone, pager and/or satellite system
- Willingly sign Broker/Carrier Contract and uphold all conditions and regulations
While we have a trusting relationship with all our carriers and 3PL providers, we find it our responsibility to constantly monitor each carrier’s authority, insurance, safety rating and supplemental licenses, especially for hazardous materials hauling. Same goes for all 3PL providers additional services. If any of these requirements have lapsed, we immediately ensure that all documentation becomes up-to-date before that specific carrier or 3PL are allowed to enter your facility. Furthermore, carriers and 3PL providers that receive three service failure notices in a twelve-month period are removed from Container Bulk Logistics system. We log service failures for situations such as missed pickups, late deliveries, last minute fall off, repeated equipment failures, service-related issues or insurance issues which might negatively affect the shipment.

Securing the Right Equipment
Using our connections with a vast number of carefully vetted carriers, we have access to innumerable vans, flatbeds, heavy haul equipment, and 3PL resources. This allows us to match you with the most suitable equipment to fulfil your needs at a competitive rate! Selection of the right carrier and 3PL is critical to the success of every load and project shipment. Hence, our team thoroughly qualifies a carrier and 3PL prior to tendering the load to the carrier or outsourcing services.
Finding & Verifying Driver
Once all the details have been extensively verified, we send a binding rate confirmation to the concerned carrier along with the specifications of your load and requirements to get them completely onboard and avoid any misunderstandings. This confirmation must be signed and returned to us prior to the carrier’s driver being dispatched or 3PL provider is on-hired. Our multi-tier verification system ensures that the driver has proper PPE and a valid TWIC card. Upon verifying the driver’s availability and access to necessary equipment, we comprehensively communicate all the essential information for the load. This information is included, but not limited to directions to loading facilities and pickup numbers.
Communicating Throughout the Journey
Each and every driver is required to contact Container Bulk Logistics for dispatch. Upon being loaded at the shipper’s location, the driver is required to call us to confirm that there were no issues with the process and conform the receipts of bills, products etc. In order to ensure constant and reliable communication, the drivers are provided with a 24-hour emergency helplines which allow them to contact the logistics account manager in case of a problem. Not just that – drivers are required to check with us around 10:00 am CST each day to update us so we can monitor the progress of the load. Effective communication allows us to foresee any delays and inform our customers beforehand.In most cases, our carriers even have GPS tracking services which allows Container Bulk Logistics to track the location of the vehicle throughout the trip! The link is also provided to our clients so they can track their load with comfort and ease. Container Bulk Logistics believes communication to be the cornerstone of high quality service and the foundation of our relationships with our clients, network of carriers and 3PL service providers.
